      HEROES OF '76

      ENCAMPMENTS

      During the recent Pacific North West Encampment held at the Navy Recreation Center in Pacific Beach, WA, on 3, 4, & 5 October, the National Chief of Staff, Bro. Stan Miller, presented to the National Commander, Bro. William G. L. Turner, with a number of our National Flags which were in dire need of retirement.

      The national Commander directed the Heroes present to prepare for the proper retirement ceremonies. Once the proper native woods, RED cedar, WHITE oak, and BLUE spruce were properly prepared the National Commander ordered the ceremony to proceed.

      Under the direction of the National Commander the National Chief of Staff insured our National Ensigns were treated with utmost respect as they were duly retired and disposed of by fire.

      There being no further work appearing before the National Commander the encampment was dismissed to be be mustered again at the direction of the National Chief of Staff.
