To all my brother Sojourners, I want to thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve each of you as president of this great organization.
My theme this year is “united we stand” with emphasis on membership, communication and “service to the craft.” The “word” to remember this year is “exposure.” This is a very critical word if we are going to be successful in accomplishing our goals for the year. Our orientation should be to strengthen our internal organization through education and application, and externally to re-establish and strengthen our relationships with appendant bodies. Lest we forget, the core of our order is the “blue lodge.” In many cases, we have lost that “link” and direction. We are “masons” first, sojourners second!
Our “bridge of light” program is essential to the future of this order. Rarely will we ever have a better moment in time to present ourselves in a “positive” and receptive environment than we have now – nationalism is at its highest in America today. We need to seize the moment! Are we ready? We will be!
Your headquarters, officers and staff, are ready to support and remember we will always have your “back.”I will be traveling throughout the country this year visiting chapters in each state. However, if you have been visited by past national presidents, during their year, you will not see me. There may be exceptions, but I plan to visit those chapters that only hear about such visits from other chapters. If any chapter would like a visit, please let headquarters know and it will be arranged, if possible. Looking forward to working with all of you this year, I remain An American Patriot.
